In the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit...

Kate was baptized this past Sunday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches. Lance and I chose this church, because this is where we were married, grew up, etc. I was afraid Kate would not react well to the water being poured over her head, so in preparation, I practiced in the sink pouring water for about a week and half. Every time Kate would cry! So, it's no surprise that she cried during the real deal...and of course, she was the only one who did. I just chalk it up to she was praising Jesus!

Annointed with Oil (It smelled VERY strong and looked like motor oil!)

Feeling much better as we walked away :)

1 Month Old!

Time is flying by! Kate Danielle is already one month old and is changing daily. Looking back at her birth pictures today, she doesn't even look the same. She's definitely starting to be a little tub, but I love it! Her chubby little arms and legs are just precious. She weighs a little over 10 lbs. and is well on her way to competing with her dad and Uncle B for chubbiest baby at 2 months old! We've gone on a few excursions lately to Barnes and Noble, the mall, relatives houses....just to get out and about. She's doing great with our "field trips".

My pretty tutu and onesie from Betsy and Caroline!

Photo shoots wear me out!

This is the only one where I'm actually looking at the camera with my eyes open!

Sitting in my Bumbo chair for the first time....it's not very exciting!

Thumbs Up for Naps!

Kate makes a lot of noise during her sleep and likes to fool her parents into thinking she's waking up when she's really not. Captured on video (quality not stellar...it's a still digital camera, not camcorder) is Kate giving us the "thumbs up" that she's still sleeping.

Update on the "Days of Kate"....we're still going strong. It's getting harder and harder to remember to take our daily photo, so many of them are being taken after 10:00pm! Even though this was supposed to be Lance's project, I'm the one that ends up taking the photo during the day (if I remember). Kate keeps me so preoccupied that I usually forget.

in my bouncy seat....P.S. I hate it!

I hate bows too!

Happy Easter!

Easter Sunday was our first big outing outside of the Lumberton house....and boy, was I GLAD to get out! It was wonderful to see the outside, breathe fresh air, and actually ride in the car somewhere other than the doctor or the hospital. Kate had a cute "My First Easter" outfit courtesy of Aunt Debbie LaRue and was proud to wear it today. She also had her first Easter dress and bonnet purchased by Grandmother and Granddad Poulter. At church, she was just a perfect baby. No crying, no fussing....just a good hour and a half of sleeping! It was wonderful, because I was really worried how she would behave being so close to lunch time.

Trying out my mom's rocker from when she was a baby....not sure how I like it!
How cute am I?

Kate's Photo Shoot

Kate had her first official photo shoot last Monday, and we finally got to see her pictures. They're just beautiful! The birth announcements are in the works, and we can't WAIT to see the photos in actual print. Here are the instructions to view the photos:

Go to www.amyhurdphotography.com
Click on Client Proofs
Type in larue as the password......and wait for Baby Kate's pictures to appear.

Amy Hurd is a local photographer in our area, and her son is the one who gave me the recommendation. He's one of my 5th graders this year. Thank you Amy for the great photos!
