4 Months old!

Kate is 4 months old! At her last check up she weighs 16 lbs exactly and is 24.25 inches long. Of course, she's still in the 90th percentile for weight, but average on everything else. Our newest trick is learning to roll over. She has rolled over three times, but refuses to let us capture it on video or camera. We'll keep trying!

Mom, you're so funny!

Looking cute in my sweet hat

This is Mom's attempt to catch me rolling over...I'd rather watch tv.

Still watching...maybe she should turn me the other way!

Solid Foods???

Okay...Kate has been eating solid foods (well, I would call them watered down solids) for about a week now, and we're doing alright. She can keep about 1/2 of it down now instead of spitting it all back out. We started oatmeal yesterday, and she seems to like that much better than the rice cereal. Next week will be vegetables...I can't wait! I know I have some funny faces in my future! Below is a progression of our first attempt at dinner.

Dad, what is this stuff?

You're forcing me to eat more?

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh

Eating is way more fun when Dad talks to me!
I'm soooo full!

Day 124 - started solid foods

Overall, not so bad

Creations by Chelle

I met several other sewing ladies in Kountze this weekend to do some serious sewing! I didn't spend the night as the others did, but I commited to two full days of sewing from 9am - 7pm. The in-laws kept Miss K during this time and couldn't have been happier to do it! I finished two outfits for Kate (not that she needs more clothes) and was excited that they actually turned out really great!

Swing top and capri pants - the flowers look really bright on the computer, but they're actually the same color as the pink stripe in the pants.

My ricrac flower....extremely hard for me to make!

Dress with custom bloomers...I added the heart. It needed a little something!

Happy Father's Day & 4th of July

June flew by with the first Father's Day for Lance. He's been wanting a Yankees t-shirt for the last several birthdays and Christmases, but no one has purchased one yet. It took our daugher to finally get one for Father's Day! He was so excited, and immediately put it on to wear it for the day.

July starts a small home improvement. We've hired a crew to rip up our back patio and start over. Apparantely, the previous owner thought he was Tim "the Tool Man" Taylor and liked to play handy man around the house. You can definitely tell which jobs he decided to take home himself...including the conrete on the back patio. It's awful! It slopped TOWARD the house, had the initials JR carved in it, had puppy prints, and was uneven around the edges. Starting today, we have ripped up the old patio, and the foundation is being set for a new and improved back porch. We added about 14 feet to the width, 3 feet to the length, and a small sidewalk in front of our french doors in the back. We're so excited!

Posing with Daddy and the Yankee t-shirt I bought for him. You can't tell, but my shirt says "I Heart Daddy!" Mommy and I embroidered it especially for today!

This bib is the truth!
Family photo of the day

Going to help out Mom and Dad in the yard. Don't I look excited?

Happy 4th! Maybe next year I can try those sparkly things!

All pretty in my red, white, and blue!
