Swimming!

Note to self. Before trying to take a 2 month old swimming, make sure she's had a good nap beforehand. Overall, the experience was blog worthy!
Little swimmers don't come small enough for me. We opted to go without and prayed for no poopies :) Unfortunately, Kate is probably not the first to pee in the Poulter pool.
Look how tiny I still look on the carpet!
All dressed up in my crocs, swimsuit, and hat from Mrs. Polnick.
Close up - the uneasy face is already present.
Dad - rescue me...I'm not sure about this

Reclining in my Princess float from Grandmother and Granddad

Augh! I hate this Mom...I need my nap and it's hot!

This is better...

:(

Maybe if I bend this way...

Happy enough to take a quick family picture.
Grandmother rescued me

Taking a bath after swimming to get off the chlorine and suntan lotion. Shortly after this picture was taken, I took a 3 hour nap. Swimming is hard work.

Shopping with Grandmother is Fun!

Soooo, I really haven't bought my daughter anything, because she's surrounded by relatives that do it for me! Not that I'm complaining! Today was especially fun because I got to choose the clothes for Miss K. My mom and I raided Baby Gap and Gymboree (both having a sale!) and came home with a generous stack of clothes....and we did show some restraint. There are just too many cutie bootie outfits for kids! I see a future where I spend a lot of money on clothes...for both myself and for Kate. Lance...I'm sorry in advance.

Posing after our afternoon snack and shopping excursion.

2 Months Photoshoot

Kate had her 2 months photoshoot done today at JC Penney. No smiles were captured in the process, but she didn't cry! I was happy about that! /here are a few that I captured from the website...I only ordered a few. I could go broke during this first year with pictures if I'm not careful!

All you need is love...

They kept sticking this ugly, plastic flower bouquet in her hands...
I wonder who else has touched that.

Just what are you looking at?

I look my chubbiest straight on the camera!

Mommy has a picture just like this when she was little.

Chariots of Fire

This is an old video in regards to Kate's life, but I just sat down and finally downloaded some videos. This is definitely one of my favs. Kate begins her training early as a long distance Olympic runner.

Kate is 2 Months Old!

Time has flown by! Kate is really starting to develop a little personality. Some of the new things she can do are smile (finally!), "talk" back and forth, and hold a rattle for a short period of time. She LOVES being outside, and it will usually immediately calm her down if she's fussy. Lance and I have taken her on a few walks around the neighborhood in her Jeep carrier, which is good for us exercise wise. Especially Lance, since he is carrying around 12 extra pounds.

For our 2 month doctor visit, Kate is in the 90th percentile in both weight and length. 12 lbs 12 ounces, 23 inches long. At 2 months, Lance weighed 16 lbs 8 ounces!!! Luckily, she's not quite caught up to Dad in that department!

The latest daily photos

Lance and I are still going strong on our daily photos....we ALMOST missed Day 57, and we realized it at 11:45pm. Luckily, Miss Kate was sleeping soundly in her crib and allowed us to sneak in and take a photo of her sleeping. The flash was so bright, you would never know the light was turned off in the photo. Here are the latest!

Hanging out on my changing table

One of my favorite things to do is recline on my Boppy!

I'm liking my bouncer well enough now to stay in it and not cry...but I still don't have to be happy about it.

Aren't I cute in my outfit from Bonnie Castille?

This swaddle blanket is for babies 8-12 lbs. I'm over 12 lbs, so my blanket is a little tight. Luckily, Mommy bought "The Miracle Blanket" that is adjustable. It's the only way I sleep 6 hours at a time!

I spit up A LOT, so I'm always covered in bibs and spit rags!
