Merry Christmas

This was our last photo of Christmas...I think she was done.

Poking Granddad's nose...over and over and over!

"What! Santa's coming tonight?"

All of the LaRue family.

The Poulter family (plus a few LaRues) with our matching pjs. My mom was so excited we were spending the night, and she ordered these jammies months in advance. My brother was warned in advance to expect a cutest Christmas photo!

Pretty in Blue

Thank you Emmy and Kristen for my new outfit! My big head was as tight squeeze, but I wore it anyway. It's precious! Thank you!!!!

Day 264-270

Kate is officially 9 months old. Here are the latest photos of the day. When I get the new photos uploaded, I'll be sure to add the actual 9 month photo. We're going strong on our "Day" photos and are anxiously awaiting day 365. This is hard work!
Partyin' at Madisons
Naked mirror time is our favorite!

Santa says, "Ho Ho Ho"...Kate says, "He he heeeee"

Sweetly sleeping

Look at me, I'm standing!

Nanny Dana babysat me tonight...I'm not hurting for toys.
I love my Christmas baby.
My new pjs and Christmas sheet!

Day 239 - 247

Kate is now 8 months old and performing several new feats. Some of her latest include pulling up in her bed when she is already sitting, leaning forward to see what's going on, lifting her arms when she wants to be picked up, saying da-da to anything that moves (sorry Lance!), and happy screaming as loud as she can. Here are the recent pictures...

Yummy...food!
Nanny Dana got Kate this Halloween "torch". She ALWAYS flips it upside down to chew on the end, even when you hand it to her pumpkin side up.
Sometimes, I just don't want to smile for pictures.
...and sometimes, I do!
This is how I sleep now...it freaks out Mommy and Daddy.
My life is good.
Yea! I'm 8 months old now. I got to spend the day with Nanna and Pop!
Daddy tried to take my picture earlier, but I needed to have my 8 month sign in the picture.
I am now 100% swaddle and rock free! I can put myself to sleep like a big girl!

Daddy calls this my Austin Powers dress.

Cup-Kate

The Cup-Kate ensemble.
We tried the costume on in the morning when Kate's in her best mood, just in case the evening wasn't going so well. Poor Kate...it's like shoving your head through a donut!
Lance and I laughed so hard we were crying. I'm surprised he was able to capture us both in this photo. Kate didn't cry at all...what a trooper!
Showing off her costume, minus the shoes!
So happy! After wearing the costume five minutes... ...after wearing the costume 50 minutes.Family photo...who can find Kate's face?We didn't trick-or-treat, but instead, visited a few neighbors. Here is Sondra with her two little ones, Snow White (Morgan) and Buzz Lightyear (Carson).
Our last stop was Miss Kim's house! Kim is pregnant and due in April...I'm hoping for a girl! Kate needs a BFF!
Kate's after costume...which can be worn as an outfit year 'round.
That Grandmother is so smart!

7 Months Old!

Kate Danielle is now 7 months old. We haven't weighed her in about a month, but we're thinking she's somewhere creeping up on 21 lbs! She's getting quite heavy to carry around more than a few minutes. However, I cannot get enough of those cute little rolls...especially on her legs! She sits up very confidently by herself, does her "stevie wonder" impression by shaking her head back and forth, babbles, rolls over from her back to her stomach (but only on her terms, when SHE wants), and has tried unsuccessfully two times to pull herself up in the bathtub. Once, resulting in a tiny bump on the head. There is something about the bathtub ledge that causes her to suddenly become brave! Below are a few photos from the monthday photo shoot.

The art teacher at GMS painted this shirt for Kate.

I LOVE TISSUE PAPER!

Woohoo....gift bag fun!

This pumpkin looks good enough to eat.

Our life in pictures from the last week...

Kate had her first sleepover at Nanna and Pop's house. Our babysitter has the swine flu! Nanna and Pop gracially stepped in for 10 days to care for Kate while Rebecca gets better. To kick off the week, Kate stayed over Sunday night. We were a little sad...

Here is Kate the next morning. I really applaud her typing skills. She's getting really good!

After church on Sunday morning. So happy!

Looking intently at Daddy through the camera lense.

"Daddy, what is the black machine you always point at me?"

Pop bought Kate her very own Radio Flyer wagon to ride up and down the street. Unfortunately, our neighborhood is TERRIBLE for strollers, etc., so this will be staying in PN. You can tell by her experssion that she is loving this! Notice the blue OFF fan to ward off mosquitoes.

Great Great Great Grandfather's Rocking Chair

My dad has a rocking chair that has been passed down from generation to generation. Kate got to sit in it for the first time on Sunday. This chair was my great grandfather's, and it could go back farther than that...we're just unsure of the origin. The rockers on the bottom of the chair are uneven, so if you lean forward even a little, you get stuck and slide out. Since Kate has no balance, we played "catch Kate" several times. She did figure out that if she leaned forward, she could do a sort of Riverdance with her shoes on the carpet. She loved it!

Playing horsey with Granddad

Touching the carpet with her pumpkin shoes

So serious about my books and my reading...

Woohoo, I like this!

Mom, don't let me fall.
